A flight carrying the five men and five women left New York after a judge ordered their expulsion during a court hearing at which they admitted spying for a foreign country.

Meanwhile, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has pardoned four people convicted of espionage in Russia.
It is unclear where the flight carrying the 10 Russian agents will land, or where the prisoners being freed by Moscow will be released.

Unconfirmed reports suggest some form of handover may take place in the Austrian capital Vienna.

A senior Russian official was quoted by Agence France-Presse news agency as saying the Russian agents were expected to arrive back in their homeland on Friday.

Gas Pipeline “Kills three” In Texas

At least three people have been killed and six injured by and explosion at a natural gas facility in the US State of Texas.

TV footage showed a large fire at the facility near the town of Cleburne, 80km from Dallas.Local media said at least 10 people were still unaccounted for. Residents several miles away described hearing a loud rumbling, which they initially mistook for thunder, they then realised the noise was from the gas works .

Enterprise Products Partners said it owned the 36-inch gas transportation pipeline, according to Reuters news agency.

Initial reports indicated the fire began when a construction crew struck the line.

World Marks 8th Anniversary

US President Barack Obama has paid tribute to the victims of the 11 September 2001 attacks.

Nearly 3,000 people died when the four planes crashed in New York, at the Pentagon and in a Pennsylvania field. Speaking at the Pentagon on the eighth anniversary, Mr Obama vowed to “never falter” in pursuit of al-Qaeda. As the ceremonies were held, it was reported that the US Coast Guard was conducting a training exercise on Washington DC’s Potomac River. Earlier reports suggested that shots were fired at a suspicious vessel on the river, but officials from the Department of Homeland Security denied this, telling the BBC the Coast Guard exercises were a daily occurrence.
